We are going to talk about the cultural differences between Spain and England.

England is really different from Spain in all the points of view but that's not wrong. In Spain we normally weak up later than the English people the English people also have lunch and dinner earlier they normally have al 12 am and have dinner at six or seven. The school is also different the girls in bishop’s Hatfield girl’s school have to wear uniform and the need to change of classroom every different class they have. The timetable is different at half past eight they stay together they check they are all then they have two lessons after each break or having lunch, another great difference is the weather as you know English weather normally is raining or cloudy and in Spain it is hot and sunny in summer. In England the people is more polite than in Spain because here they say always please, thank you, excuse me and sorry. Another big difference about the road the English people drive in the opposite way than we do. Finally there’s another big difference that it consist in that the English people do their activities after dinner but in Spain we do it before dinner.

In cultural they are also differences because the Spanish we have more festivities like la feria de abrl, san Isidro, saint Jordi, san fermin, el carnival, Las Fallas etc. they also have festivities but different for example red nose day, festivities of music in summer, rolling cheese…

MAIN SIGHTS TO VISIT IN LONDON
I' m going to talk about the most important sights that you must visit if you come to London. The most important and the first thing that you have to visit is the Big Ben, the Big Ben is a huge towel of 96 meters, technically, Big Ben is the name given to the enormous bell inside the clock tower. The Big Ben weighs more than 13 tons, it rings every 15 minutes and we were lucky because, when we went to visit the Big Ben we hear it. The London Eye also attracts many visitors to London, because this week we visited and it was amazing. It measure 135 meters and it has 32 pots. And this is my main sights to visit in London, and worth coming to see them.

My first day at school in England🇬🇧

This day, I woke up at 7:00, and I prepared my things to go to school. I was in the school at 8:00, and there I met my shadow. My shadow is really nice. First we had history, I did some work with my shadow. Then I had biology, I copied something and I drew a picture. Then, while we were moving to another class, started raining. The weather wasn't so good. We had the break time and I ate some chips. Next, we had maths, and we played a game about numbers. Then I had ICT core which is a lesson of computers. Then I had lunch with my shadow and her friends. Finally I had another class of computers.
The day was so good. When I came to the school I thought that it was going to be boring, but when the classes started, I knew that it wasn't boring.
I have a good time there.

Food of London and food of England: I prefer the Spanish food because is more variety here we not,all eat junk food and drinks that is more unhealthy. I like the things and sometimes we eat traditional foods of differents countries like Mexican foods, fish and chips that is very traditional here  that's good because in Spain I don't use to eat traditional foods Of orbes countries. I think that the hour of the tea is very good to learn education. One day we went to cook like nests of cereal with chocolate and eggs of chocolate, it was great, and I enjoyed a lot. I like this food but I think is unhealthier than Spain.

The school uniform
I think it is a good idea to wear a uniform because I think it's better for the students. in my school I don't  wear a uniform so it is a new thing for me.
Some advantages are, in the morning you don't need to be thinking all the time about what what you are going to wear, also it is better because some students say to the others about how they dress and that can hurts sometimes.
Some disadvantages are that you can't be like you are, also seeing everyone dress the same is strange. But I think that wearing a uniform is a great idea.

Brexit

Since I've been here I heard too many people talking about the Brexit and the benefits of staying or leaving the EU. After hearing people and reading a bit on the BBC; in my opinion there are not many reasons for leaving the EU. I took two issues as example: the immigration and farming and fishing.

Leaving the EU has two benefits in farming and fishing: there will be more money for farmers and fishing can improve because now it's not developed. But staying has benefits too because for example the union forced countries like Germany to lift bans on British beef, and also the 73% of the farming exports goes to the EU.
In the case of immigration in one hand it can't be controlled while the UK keeps staying in the EU and it causes worse public services and lower wages for British workers. On the other hand immigrants pay more taxes and immigration is good for the economy.

From my point of view there are the same amount benefits as negatives so I think that UK shouldn't vote to leave but this is my opinion as a Spanish person.

                   IS MY ENGLISH IMPROVING?
HOW CAN I IMPROVE IT EVEN MORE?

- I am staying here in England for three weeks, I am going to Goffs school, the school is near my house so I go waking.
- My family it's so nice! There are three boys the oldest is called Stephen, the middle brother is called Lenny, the youngest boy is called Luca and the father Kaye and Stephe also I'm learning a lot of English with the family and the school.
- To improve my English I will tried to don't be afraid when I asked something to the family and only talk in English so... What I mean is that I recommend don't talk everyday with your parents.

Excursion Sunday 26th June 2016

On Sunday all the Spanish students took a train into London and spent the day there. Firstly they completed the London Landmark Quiz, taking in famous sights such as Big Ben and the London Eye. After lunch by the Thames river, they went on a boat along the river to Greenwich.
They walked up through Greenwich Park to the Meridian Line for a photograph (see below!) then went into the village for some souvenir shopping.
The students travelled on the DLR train, which is driverless, back to the train station to take them back to their host families. They were all quite tired at the end of the day!

Cookery lesson for Goffs students

On Thursday after school, the Goffs students had a cookery lesson. This took place in a marquee in a garden! They made chocolate nests with Mini Eggs inside. Mini Eggs are a very popular treat in Britain at Easter!
After making these, they went inside and had afternoon tea - another British pastime. They ate small cakes and drank English tea with milk and sugar. Not everyone enjoyed the taste of the tea, as they weren't used to drinking it with milk!
The students all went back to their host families with a tray of the chocolate nests they had made, to share it with them.

IS MY ENGLISH IMPROVING? HOW CAN I IMPROVE IT EVEN MORE?

I am staying here in England for three weeks and I am going to Bishop's Hatfield girls' school, which is close to the house I am staying in.

I am living in this house with a host family and they are really nice! I am learning a lot of English because in the school everyone speaks in English and I try to do it aswell.

The main advice I could give you for improving your English on your stay in here is don't be shy with your host family and don't be afraid to make mistakes because making mistakes is the best way to start speaking a language, and English people will probably correct you so you can learn more.
